The 4th-gen Nest Learning Thermostat is the flagship of the smart-thermostat world. It learns your schedule within about a week and builds an automatic program around it, then uses sensors and Adaptive Eco to trim heating and cooling when you're away. The new model adds a larger, brighter borderless display that doubles as a small dashboard (weather, time, temperature) and improved farsight that wakes as you approach. It includes a temperature sensor in the box, supports Matter, and integrates tightly with Google Home. The trade-off is price and the gradual sunsetting of older Works-with-Nest integrations in favor of the Google Home ecosystem.
